5 CT55 and TAD60-1R
Posted by Howard Band on 14th Jan 2013
I ordered both of these picks with a round bevel. I'm a new mandolin player but a long time flatpicker. I'm really enjoying both picks and I don't really have a favorite yet. The TAD 60 has a little darker sound (especially when played on the 1R edge. But, I don't know if I could distinguish the sound if I didn't know which I was playing. Great picks...as are all the BC picks. Trick is finding the best one for you.

5 Surprised with Tad-1R 60
Posted by Larry on 12th Nov 2012
I have owned about 8 different BC picks I prefer the 50's or 60's with at least one round corner. Lot's of people like the TD shape but I am not a fan even though I started with .70 to .96mm Rhino's. People told me that the longer I played that my picks would get thicker . I was honed in on the CT-55 (own 3) and the TP1R (own 2) as my "go to" picks. I ordered the Tad 1R-60 because my mandolin responds well to a thicker, slightly larger pick. It turns out that my Collings rosewood/German dread also enjoys the 1.5 Tad and my old TS picks are sleeping in a safe place.

4 Good so far
Posted by John Lindblade on 7th Sep 2012
I have yet to use the pick on stage on a hot muggy sweaty day, but so far the pick has performed to the claims of Blue Chip & what the reviews had to say. So far I am very happy with the pick, & may be ordering another model, if I want to check out a thinner one or the Chris Thiele model. I like the one I bought tho a lot. Only gave it a 4 because I haven not given it the weaty hand/sticky string test.

5 A Versatile Well-Made Pick
Posted by William Clements on 26th Jun 2012
After using your CT-55 Mandolin Pick for over a year, I thought I would try this pick based on reviews I read on Mandolin Cafe. I couldn't be happier! While the CT-55 is fabulous, this pick features a rounded corner which I like for a softer tone when desired and lends itself to tremolo, and the speed beveled edge offers a brighter sound. Overall the pick is just a bit brighter than the CT-55.

5 2 Picks in 1
Posted by Steve Singer on 11th Jun 2012
The TAD60-1R is the best pick I have ever played. The one round corner allows for a warmer tone when needed. The tone from this pick makes it sound like a different instrument. Great pick well worth the price.

5 Best Pick Ive Used.
Posted by Brandon on 8th May 2012
Ive been using this pick for a few months now, and its easily the best pick ive ever used. Its super fast off the strings and has awesome tone. It works as well on mandolin as it does on guitar. The rounded edge has a nice fat tone, while the point is just enough to cut through a little.

5 Outstanding Pick!
Posted by David Beckerdite on 25th Apr 2012
I love my Blue Chip picks. They are easily the best I've ever used. The only problem with them is that they are so expensive, I'm scared to death that I'm going to lose one!

5 I love it for slide!
Posted by SJK on 31st Mar 2012
My main pick is a CT55, but I had bought the TAD1R for use with my Jazzmaster playing Surf music. THe speed of a Blue Chip comes in very handy when playing 16th notes and I don't worry about dropping it. The last year I have gotten into electric slide guitar, mostly in open tuning, and I still do not have great fingerpicking coordination, so I found the rounded end on the thick pick to sound similar to fingers when you use a light touch. It also makes the pick just enough shorter that I can hybrid pick easily with it.
